Messy gossip

Well, recently what I did is coding in Java and getting around some new stuffs, like my new camera K100D.
First, let's move to Java. I am developing a program for displaying the energy consumption. Basically, I wrote classes which implemented new features in Java 6. It is called system tray class. Although you might have seen that in C or Delphi/Pascal codes long time before, the system tray in Java is really a new feature in 6 version. One problem is the listener in the tray cannot capture some actions, such as MouseEntered. Anyway, I implement it by other methods. The project require me to test the codes in Linux and Macintosh too. However, Macintosh by now does not support Java 6. Oops, I have to convince the instructor to forget it in Macintosh...
I would like to talk about my new camera K100D as well. Pentax is also a strong and old DSLR producer. But, to be honest, the operation in that camera is not convenient enough compared to Nikon D80. The menu design, the human interface and the displaying aesthetic aspects are not so good as D80. Of course, not all the things are bad. For example, the quality of pictures generated by K100D is pretty good and amazing under specific light conditions. In the same contexts, some pictures are even better than D80's! Actually, the camera, with two lenses, is a gift for my family. I hope my parents enjoy it!

Thank you. Did you watch them, the movies? Those movies have accompany me for near one year. But now, I stop watching any movies since no masterpiece was born during 2006-2007...

masterpieces?!you certainly set a very high standard in movies.some people think movies are mere entertainments, some think them as arts.clearly you belong to the latter group(judging from that "masterpiece" one).I see movies as both.If you wanna see some real artisit movies, those european movies should be your top choices. But to be honest,i watched some and couldnt really get what the directors want to convey.i guess these kinds of movies are just too abstruse for young people. And another thing i want to say is,haha, your movie list is a typical masculine one.I cant find a pure love story in that list.uhmm, still very happy to know a friend like you who share some similar interests.

Well, what I get is the same feeling about European movies. No, I should say film, not movie. I think I mostly see everything from academic perspectives. However, I am not able to capture the essence from European films even I could understand American academic movie awards' criteria very well. For example, a sexy movie, Melena, is also a American-like movie in view. So do those very good Germany war movies, such as Down Fall.

I really don't know the reason of that. I am too superficial for enjoying European film? My sense is not. They made crappy stuffs that I never understand.
And, I do have some entertainment movies! But most of them are Chinese Northern movies, which are totally different from Taiwanese or Hong Kong movies. I don't know where r u from and it is quite possible that you say I am a complete art-movie guy since you don't know those movies.

It is no doubt that I like war and violence movies. Come on, am I a man or woman? But that's not the only reason. Think about the end of American History X, the best discrimination topic movie in my mind. When the final picture showed that the blood was sprayed on the video camera's lenses, it is great to depict the severe racial problem. I was shocked by this beautiful representation of the violence at that time! Too many pictures show in my mind now: Kill Bill, Devils on the Doorstep(Chinese), Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance(Korean)...

But, I do have love movies. Sometimes I would like to watch any true kind of love movies. But the same, most of love movies I like are "made in China", which is culture-based. The exceptions are weired:I like western homosexual love movies. Broken Back Mountain and Mulholland are both great love movies, right? A normal one that I like very much from western world is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind whose philosophical meaning is more beautiful: How much can you be straightforward in your love? If memories has gone, is that possible for rebirth of love? Why they meet each other and fall in love again after losing memories? They like each other but they are not straightforward enough for bearing counterpart's shortcomings. After breaking up, it becomes to the "most familiar stranger" to you.

That european movie topic,uhmm...Actually i have watched some much older european movies, such as 8 1/2,wild strawberrie etc.If you ever read the history of films, you would find them marked as real masterpieces,BUT I fell asleep every time i watched them, and i dont feel ashamed for myself:).i dont think i am too superficial for this kind of movies, just i am too young for those movies, you know, not so much life experience.European movies are so different from those from Hollywood.European directors always intend to implant kind of philosophy into the movies, which is very abstract. And I do believe that i will be more prepared for those artistic and philosophical movies after maybe 50 years. So dont be bothered if you cannot understand.

i am personally not a very big fan of violence and war movies, but i agree with you that sometimes violence can penetrate better than anything else,so that we are finally able to see the problem underlying.

i love romance movies.but i dont favor those love movies with very dramatic storylines.i want it to be told in a more reserved way.My favourite romance movie is tempting heart,a story about first love, though it is not a happy-ever-after kind of story, but i love it so much,i think it is so true, just like the kind of love everyone of us had or will have in our real life.I love Brokeback mountain as you do...i still can recall two scenes in that movie,Jack says,i wish i knew how to quit you, with tears in his eyes, and the last scene of this movie, their shirts embrace each other tenderly.i also watched Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind,i like the plot,it is very unique, but i dont think it is about how straightforward we should be in our love,i think it is trying to solve the puzzle of "love",why a person falls for another one over and over again even without the past memories?it is an interesting topic.About another movie you mentioned,Melena,
i love that one,not only because of the story, but also because of the incredible beauty of Monica Bellucci.I guess you will definitely agree with me on this one, since you are a guy, haha, she is so gorgeous.

Yes, I know you will talk about love movies. And now I think my perspective about Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is really strange. Why I remember the general story correctly but with a specific "straightforward" stuff? I checked it, I made a mistake and confused this movie some other's plot... You r right, right!

You look like a big love movie fan, ah? You know what I want to ask you? Do you know a movie's name is Dr. Love? If you can understand it, tell me, though it is not a love movie. About Melena, Yes, basically man is a kind of animal, you r right. Also I want to mention is the director tell us not only reasons of becoming bitch disregarding any factors in our lives, but also the process having no alternatives.

Another, since I just finish my machine learning course, let me play a game:

R u Ya Jun or his wife?

You are a fashion person, ah? My guess is right?

However, my another inference is that you are not a technical person. You are not good at things like computer. Am I right again?

I will tell you my reason for guess if you response. Be relax, you can just answer yes or no.

ok,let's play this game. And i wanna see what conclusion you will get.

who is that Yajun? And who is his wife?I know neither of them.

uhmm,i dont think i am fashionable...though i will be happy to be someone like that.

yup,i am not a technical person.so what?you are going to tell me that you are a hacker and will break into my system in order to know who i am?

Anyway,i dont think you know me,since i dont really know you either.

Hey, come on. It is impossible for a decent guy to do that. Sounds sucks? Ha. What I am saying is that I am not a hooligan cracking your system! This let me remember the movie AI.

Come back to the game. First, I show the icon of visit explicitly on my website. That mean I am not conceiving the fact that I can get something from you. Basically, I can know your IP address, which from NJ. You are a comcast user. You are using Vista with a resolution of 800*600 in web browser. That's all.

My game's question in fact is based my confidence: the third one is what I am pretty sure and the first is not at all. (Maybe I should change the tone as: at last, my third guess is right?)

For Q1, I just infer from IP address, which is the only data source I have. Of course I get low confidence of that: My inference is Ya Jun who is the ONLY ONE guy I know in NJ. It is wrong.

For Q2, at least I can get half of the score. You r a fashion person. Trust me! Hey, you r using Vista! It looks much better than XP, cool! It is a important fashion factor. You do not like war and violence, outdated people's interest, like me, ah? Moreover, you like love story, but love movie. That's why I put it in the second one. You know, superficial person will not watch movies like my list, I am pretty sure. And the ironic is superficial person always be fashionable. Think about a fashion girl, how can she have time to watch such movies? So, you r a fashionable person but not really really cool-appearance, like girls or boys in club. You have something inside your heart. Is that so called "melancholy"? I am not sure.

Before Q3. I know I have talked in an offensive style: guessing others is too bad, especially personality or minds. If you care, forget left parts.

For Q3, I have nearly the same data source as Q3. But I am more sure about the guess. A Vista user do not use the latest hardware and setting up. How can it be? The only explanation is you do not know your low resolution at all or do not know updating/setting up the configuration! Or, you did not update your monitor larger than 19' (very old size). Anyway, you show strong weakness in this technical issue. Another strong proof is from you r not a war movie fan. Can you imagine a romantic poet is a warmonger? It is ridicules. You know the interesting thing: if you replied me for asking the reason, the inquiry itself is a strongest clue: u r not knowing what I can get from your side at all!

Finally. We might open another thread...Good chatting! I just finish everything from my course. BTW, do you like traveling? Where have u been? I am quite new in US.

i guess why i am using Vista with a low resolution is because my laptop is too old for Vista(i am not sure, since as you guessed,i am not at all technical),i just wanna see how Vista looks like.

i love travelling, but i am too lazy to plan all the details of the trips.i have been to CA,Texas,
Washington State etc and i like most of them.it is quite enjoyable to travel around the states.i guess you will sure get a chance to visit all these places in the following years.
